I learned about yoga nidra during my yoga teacher training as most of us do but the practice really stood out for me. 

I've been a massage therapist for over a dozen years and have seen how stress and overwhelm can harm a persons health.

Hillary teaches iRest Yoga Nidra and Yin Yoga.
She also owns Gaia Bodywork, a wellness studio in Richardson, Tx. where she practices barefoot ashiatsu massage. 
When not working with clients, you can find her playing with her dogs, hiking, reading at the lake, and drinking tons of coffee.

She has been studying Yoga and Tantra since 1995. A former high level executive in the film industry for over 18 years, she began sharing her understanding of the ancient technology of Tantra when her teacher Yogarupa Rod Stryker initiated her into the lineage of Sri Vidya in 2001. She found that these practices created a foundation of balance and clarity in the fast paced world of Hollywood and was inspired to open yoga studios to share the teachings. She co-owned and operated the Divine Motion Yoga studios until 2010 while continuing to produce and oversee feature films. It was during this time that her passion for teaching grew and she endeavored to find a way to marry her love of film with yoga.

The focus of Tracee’s teaching is empowerment, sankalpa, self-mastery and healing. As a Level 1 Certified Para Yoga Teacher she utilizes the unique practices of the tradition to guide students towards the door of awakening to their true nature, creating positive momentum and accelerating the trajectory towards fulfilling their destiny for an empowered life. She has developed the programs Yoga for a Broken HeartTM and Yoga for Willpower and IntentionTM and currently trains teachers in these systems.

Her new CD and 40-day interactive Soul Journal The Empowered Life is  being released by Pranamaya in January 2016. Tracee is on the faculty of Esalen Media Company.  She leads teacher trainings, presents at workshops, festivals and retreats internationally.

One of the most amazing books that I was introduced to several years ago during my yoga therapy certification was “You’re Body Speaks Your Mind,” by Deb Shapiro.  Since reading this book the very first time it has remained at my bedside and weekly I go to it for answers and inspiration.  It is filled with stories and recommendations for decoding the emotional, psychological, and spiritual messages that underlie illness.  It presents the idea of how interconnected the mind and body are and the importance of listening to both.

Kim is the owner of The Fit Room in Plano, TX and much of her week is spent one on one with people seeking healing and health. Having a passion for all things physical, Kim began her career in personal training, became curious about the mind/body connection opening her world to Pilates and then dealing with injuries herself and those of her clients, dove head first and still hasn't come up for air into the healing world of yoga.  Currently studying to become a health coach, Kim wholeheartedly believes that your health and wellness is not just dependent on being on your mat or showing up at the gym.  Living a healthy life involves meaningful relationships, physical activity, fullfilling employment and a spiritual practice.  It is keeping balance in these 4 areas of life that keeps us well, joyful and passionate.

Most people when the word yoga is mentioned the first thing that comes to mind is asana practice, but asana practice is only a small part of the practice of yoga.

Chidanandi Sheri, Founder and Director of Alpha- Omega Yoga, has been practicing yoga for 44 years and teaching for 34 years and is an internationally renowned teacher of Yoga.

She has continually furthered her education in many areas related to the yoga way of life. Chidanandi is a registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Experienced Yoga Teacher with over 100,000 hours of Teaching Experience) She holds a Bachelors degree in Body Science, two degrees in Herbal Medicine, and a Masters in Business Administration.

They say that there are a few events in Life that are top stressors.
In the last 12 months I've faced most of them! 

But ~ I've never been more content.
Tired right now, yes! But content. 
Intentions have guided this eventful year.

Family wise in the past 12 months,
I got married (Eloped with our 4 children in tow)
Said goodbye to Birdie, my sweet 14 year old four-legged fur baby
Sold a car/Bought a car
Moved our “stuff” into storage, moved the family to Venice Beach, CA for the Summer

Christina is a wholehearted care-giver, passionate mother, loyal friend and registered yoga teacher. She was introduced to meditation in grade school and has been teaching health/physical education classes since she was a teenager.

But it was when she began studying the art & science of Yoga 14 years ago, that she became aware of her potential to be(come) Love.

After years of teaching in & managing a yoga studio, she created Imagine Yoga to offer her unique style of workshops & events that include journaling/writing and intention setting. She has freedom to travel and be hosted by studios for all of her offerings.

During the week she is a Yoga Teacher/Mentor at Fusion Academy, a unique private school in Dallas and Plano specializing in one to one classrooms for grades 6-12. Yes, because when you take the time to care for yourself you rebuild your health and well being. We generally do not slow down and care for ourselves in a meaningful way until we start to show symptoms of fatigue, a cold, skin rash... the list of subtle and not so subtle symptoms is loooong!

Kathryn Templeton has devoted her life to the health of others. A psychotherapist for more than 20 years, Kathryn is a Master Teacher in the field of Drama Therapy and continues to work both clinically and as an educator specializing in the treatment of individuals with complex trauma. As an E-500 RYT and NAMA-registered Ayurvedic practitioner, Kathryn has worked to develop specialized treatments integrating the principles of yoga and Ayurveda with clinical theraputic techniques. Kathryn is currently a faculty member at the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale, PA, teaching courses on the Three Wisdom Traditions and Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist Training. In addition, she teaches in their 500-hour RYT program along with other yoga teacher training programs around the country and is an Adjunct Professor of Human Development and General Psychology in the Connecticut Community College system. She holds memberships with the International Association of Yoga Therapists, the National Association of Drama Therapists and the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.
