Experience the process of gentle stretching exercises and ancient breathing techniques to prepare the body and mind for meditation.

Appropriate for all levels, you will learn how to develop your own practice space, best times to practice, how to prepare for meditation, techniques to find one-pointedness, leading to a state of unsurpassed calm.

Using basic asana (postures on the mat), we improve our breath and direct our mind through Pranayama (breathing practices) in order to balance our nervous system, detoxify our bodies & energy channels and calm our mind in preparation for deep stages of relaxation and meditation.

Enjoy basic traditional yoga postures to balance energy channels, strengthen the back for sitting and loosen the hips.

About this Presenter: 

Kirsten studies the science and philosophy of yoga at the Himalayan Institute under Yogarupa Rod Stryker and Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Ph.D. She is a certified Ayurveda Lifestyle Counselor and teaches public classes, private clients.
